The Staten Island Children's Museum appeals to the intrepid explorer in every child.  Interactive exhibitions and creative workshops offer plenty of opportunities for hands-on, first hand experiences that nurture children's natural curiosity and creativity. Visits to the museum launch children on a voyage of discovery - about themselves and the world around them.

Museum Hours
The Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday & closed Monday except most school holidays.
Our hours reflect the New York City Public School Schedule:
Noon until 5 p.m. when NYC Public Schools are open.
10 a.m. - until 5 p.m. when NYC Public Schools are closed. (including weekends)


The Museum will be closed
September 6 - Labor Day
November 25 - Thanksgiving Day
December 25 - Christmas Day
January 1 - New Year's Day

The Museum will close at 3 p.m.:
December 24 - Christmas Eve
December 31 - New Year's Eve

Monday Openings:
October 11 - Columbus Day
December 27 - Winter Recess
